As a family, we love eating almonds.
They are a really enjoyable snack either on their own or placed on deserts, so can guinea pigs eat almonds and if they can, how much can they have?

As you can see, almonds are quite high in fat and very acidic so this immediately signals that they won’t be good for guinea pigs. It also has no vitamin c content as well.
They are also a choking hazard as well as piggies will find them hard to injest so do steer clear.

Can guinea pigs eat raw almonds?
No not at all, their shells will be extremely off putting for guinea pigs plus almonds are not good for guinea pigs altogether.

Any kind of sugared foods are not good for guinea pigs. Sugared nuts make it doubly bad
Can guinea pigs eat almond cake?
Again, a big no no. Any kind of cake is not good for guinea pigs.
If you are thinking about feeding almonds to your piggies then think again. They are not good at all for them in any way. The high fat and acidic content is no good for piggies at all.
