Atlanta Metro Guinea Pig Rescue – Based in Marietta, AMGPR is a small rescue founded in December 2008, when the only other rescue in the area closed its doors. Since that time, the rescue has placed over 300 guinea pigs in forever homes! But, this is clearly not enough. So many pigs are turned away due to lack of space.
We had two short haired female piggies, both approximately 4 years old. One of them recently died (cause unknown – she had been losing weight and not as active), and we would like to provide her cage mate with another friend. Trying to decide if a baby might be a nurturing opportunity for the older girl, or if we should find another adult. Any advice or resources is welcome. Thank you.
You would probably want a baby, not an adult. A baby will live longer, and boost the happiness level of your adult.

Sadly I am looking to rehome our guinea pigs. We have two loving adorable girls that we can no longer house because we are moving into a smaller place. They must go together not charging just looking for a loving home. We also have brand new 6×2 cage. If interested please call 619-818-8113. I’m in the Symrna/Vinnings area.
HI,
I have 4 piggies that I need to foster temporarily while my family moves. I need to board/foster them from now until 10/1/17 or hopefully 9/15/17 if we can move in early.
Gwinnett County rescue is $10 per pet per day and I cannot afford that amount. I am a Georgia PreK teacher, off for the summer, and doing student teaching for the first 12 weeks this school year (no pay) and funds are limited. Can you help?
I have a female guinea pi looking for a home, she is 2 yrs old. We are moving out of the country and can’t take her with us. If interested please let me know. I’ll give the cage, hay and food.
