Soda is a drink that typically contains carbonated water, a sweetener, and a natural or artificial flavoring.

The sweetener may be sugar, high-fructose corn syrup, fruit juice, sugar substitutes (in the case of diet drinks), or some combination of these.

So can guinea pigs drink soda?

When it comes to things that guinea pigs can drink.

There is a limited choice. Unfortunately in that list of one thing, soda isn’t it.

The problem with soda is that it is stock full of additives, sugars, days, acids and other preservatives that they can’t handle.

In fact any kind of carbonated drink is bad for them to have.

The only thing they can drink is fresh water, which is great for them.

By giving them fresh water daily, you will give them the refreshment that they need and won’t harm them in the process.

So give the fresh water, and steer clear of any kind of soda.
