Green Peppers are those that are right at the beginning of their maturity. They haven’t even began to ripen yet and so are not as sweet as yellow, red or purple peppers.

But can guinea pigs eat them, lets take a look and find out.

As usual we’re looking at the calcium, sugar, fat, oxelate acid and phosphorus content to see if they are any good for guinea pigs. These factors determine whether a guinea pig can eat foods of not.

Also a healthy amount of vitamin c and a is very good for guinea pigs.

They are also low in fat, contain no sugar, phosphorus and oxelate acid. This makes them virtually ideal for guinea pigs.

Indeed they can eat green peppers pretty much once a day as part of their diet.

I normally cut them up into strips, but piggies will take green peppers which ever way you feed it to them. All they’re concerned about is that its in their cage and ready for them to eat in some shape or form 🙂
