Anchorage Animal Care and Control – Based in Anchorage. The Department of Health and Human Services contracts with Animal Licensing and Placement Services (ALPS), a subsidiary of Doyon Universal Services, JV, to provide domestic animal control services to the entire municipality. Animal Control Officers (ACOs) respond to an average of 600 citizen requests for service per month regarding animal cruelty, animal bites, loose animals, barking dogs, injured animals, and other requests for service. The center handles an average of over 625 live animals per month Animal Care and Control

Mat-Su Animal Care and Regulations – Serving the Mat-Su Borough and the cities of Palmer and Wasilla. The Matanuska-Susitna Borough Animal Care & Regulation division, maintains an Animal Shelter and an enforcement branch.

Daisy Acres Critter Services – Based in Fairbanks. They do mobile grooming, as well as fostering, boarding and animal rehab.

Fairbanks North Star Borough Animal Control – Based in Fairbanks. They are the animal control unit of the Fairbanks North star borough

Gastineau Humane Society – Based in Juneau. They are a private, non-profit shelter, started from humble beginnings by people who shared the common bond of caring about animals in need. Although we are also contracted to perform Animal Control and Protection Services by the City and Borough of Juneau, we are not a government entity. We continue to rely heavily on the generous contributions from the public in order to sustain our honoured tradition of serving animals in need in our community.
