Can guinea pigs eat shelled sunflower seeds?

No, they can’t eat any kind of seeds unfortunately and this includes any kind of sunflower seeds. If they have one or two they will be fine, but they generally should be avoided as a food for guinea pigs due to the high amount of fat, acidic content and phosphorus content they contain. Seeds in general are not great for guinea pigs to eat in this regard, although they are found in some guinea pig mixes that can be purchased in pet stores.
