They are strictly herbivores and so only eat raw vegetables so steer clear of any kind of meats when feeding your guinea pigs.

My one guinea pig won’t touch meat but I have a male Abyssinian guinea pig that loves certain types of meat warm roast beef and pepperoni pizza mainly but turkey also, if I’m eating some he throws a fit if you don’tgive him a piece! And will bite and scratch me until I give him some, will this hurt him, he’s always fine afterwards?
