Can Guinea Pigs Drink Coconut Water?

Coconut water is the name given to the clear water that is found within coconuts.

It is drunk in many areas, particularly tropical environments where coconuts screener all grown.

So can guinea pigs drink coconut water? As they can drink water, but can’t eat coconut, it is worth checking out Ina bit more detail by looking at its nutritional content.

As usual, we’re particularly interested in its phosphorus, calcium, sugar, fat and acidic content as they are the content that are most pertinent to guinea pigs.

As you can see coconut water contains a hint of phosphorus, it contains some acidic content, a hint of calcium, and fat and a bit of sugar.

This means that guinea pugs can drink coconut water, but only in small amounts twice or three times a week at the most. It may be a nice break from drinking fresh water, which is what they should be drinking most of the time. That’s if they will drink it of course.

However, it’s not a drink that is particularly brilliant for them, despite containing a little bit of vitamin c.
