Can Guinea Pigs Have Lemon Juice?

Lemon Juice is a great addition to pancakes and other foods.

We have already looked at whether guinea pigs can eat lemons here. They were ok for guinea pigs to eat although we said that they should be eaten sparingly because of their acidity. Once a month at the most.

The thing with it is it is also way too acidic for guinea pigs to drink. If they do drink it, like us, they will get serious tummy trouble.

Guinea pigs should only drink water and don’t have the ability to take in other types of liquids.

Even lemon cordial or lemon squash is not good for them. It is too sweet, even when diluted with water. But not as bad as full on lemon juice.

So steer clear of it as a drink for them.
